Tess Update (includes icky beaver bite photo)

Our Tess has had an active day despite the stitches on her neck from the beaver fangs.

This afternoon she was inside for a bit. I’d been doing some of this and a little of that when I realized that Tess was no where to be found.

Downstairs that is. Rarely has Tess ventured upstairs. I don’t think she likes the stairs too much. They’re a little slippery for her but she’s come up to the bedroom several times lately to wake us in the morning. Sure enough I called her and heard a little clatter on the wood above me.  Chris had spent the day in town running errands and I can only imagine that Tess was looking for him.

This evening while he was outside I heard Tess whining. It was getting close to dark and honestly I didn’t want to let her out again. You know – the whole pigs and beavers thing. I called her to me and with some hesitation Tess came down the steps into my Rabbit Hole. It was her first trip down under and I don’t think she was terribly impressed.

She sniffed a knitting bag or two.

Then she turned around and promptly climbed back up the stairs and resumed whining to go out. I guess we know who Woman’s Best Friend prefers…

Meanwhile I downloaded a photo of my finished Nutkin sock to show off. This sock (the first one of the pair) was cast on back in July. Yarn is Tempted Good Girl in colorway Saucy.

  1. Ooh, pretty Nutkins. They look nice. Speaking of which, I like the new look of the blog.
Yeah to Tess feeling better. And I know what it's like when the doggers prefers the guy to you. Vdog does that often.
